We’ve moved some children between classes at school, and need some more furniture to hold their stuff. So…. IKEA trip!! The plan was to leave early Saturday morning, but I had an unexpected meeting on Saturday morning. It all worked out.
Here is a sideways photo of some tubs on display. They ran out of this size and they wouldn’t sell the display models to me, dang it. I spent a fair amount of time there Saturday. Interesting fact: if you show up twenty minutes after they open on Sunday and don’t go to breakfast in the restaurant….
You are the only one in the store.
It was freaky. Freaky and fantastic!
On the way home we hit a snowstorm that freaked me out. I won’t tell that part because I come across as a crazy, cowardly lunatic. Let’s just say that Lloyd is a hero.

Oh, IKEA! How I love you!!! Did you find some other fun purchases?
Peggy says
So are you saying IKEA’s storage containers are cheaper than Walmart or Target or Home Depot???
Lauren says
I don’t know if they are cheaper, but the surrounding cubbies are very handy. Update to come later! 🙂
Peggy says
I’m going to be needing lots of storage containers. I’ll have to check out IKEA before I purchase. Thanks Lauren!
Lauren says
What do you need them for? Can I come to IKEA with you? 🙂
Jill says
I’m so jealous of your alone IKEAing. I was there last Saturday and was most definitely NOT alone.
Brad says
Oh, how I do so miss IKEA. Maybe this summer when I come to Nebraska we can make a trip there.
