It has been lovely spending time with my family. My Mom showed me a lap quit she made – stitching the little triangles by hand with her small, neat stitches. If I were haveing her parent-teacher conference, I would point out her great fine-motor skills!
Monday morning we worked in the yard for a little bit. Actually, my Dad worked in the yard a lot. He was up at the crack of dawn spraying the fruit trees to get rid of the coddling moths.
Later, Keren and I helped out a little with the yard. Mom and Dad had a sprinkler system installed and we worked on repairing the ruts where the lines went in. Mom’s flowers looked great and I weeded for about fifteen seconds.
Keren has been working on a budget report for her job, and my head swims just thinking about the numbers she has to work with. It’s pretty amazing.
Later in the day we made a shopping trip and then had the most amazing steak dinner at home on the deck. Ahhhh…. vacation…..

Yay for vacation and time with your family! Relax, girl!

That sounds like an awesome day. I love quilts and gardening and steak. I don’t like budget reports very much though. Sorry, Keren.
Mom says
So glad you got to go. I hope all the fires are far away from them
Mom says
Oh, I forgot that is a lovely quilt.
