I left my iPad at school since I left in a big ol’ hurry to get home. It was a respectable crowd this year. Not too many, but enough.
When we got home, Lloyd had painstakingly raked many, many leaves onto our sidewalk (for maximum crunching) and mean ol’ Mrs. Sommerer chewed him out for it. She is a total wet blanket. “They’re not all going to like that.” Mrs. Sommerer can be so, so stupid sometimes. They all loved it, except for the tiny, tiny three-year-old vampire who huffed and puffed his way through them (they went past his knees) and slowed midway, softly sighing, “Why so much leaves?”
“It was his idea,” said Mrs. Sommerer.

The raking of the leaves should be easier now that the kids have crunched it down for you, right?

Ha! Nice special effect! I daydream about doing elaborate Halloween decorations sometimes, but then Halloween comes on a Wednesday and all I want to do is sit on the couch. Maybe some day…
