I saw a tumbling composter at Aldi that I thought would be a good deal. (It was $40, and I foolishly thought it was $30, but I was too embarrassed to take it back when I was a t the register.) I’m glad I got it. The kids helped me assemble it and we’re going to try and make some compost by the end of the summer. Everybody knows this is going to end badly – we’ll probably wind up with some weird goo, but it will all be in the name of science!

I was curious about those a while back, but didn’t end up getting one. I’ll be curious to hear how it works.

So how does this work? You put the stuff in, and the kids can give it a twirl as they walk by? Is there going to be any kind of odor? Keep me (com)POSTED.

Yep, you put in ‘greens’ and ‘browns’, tumble and wait. It will go outside so we can add to it for a few days and then I will completely forget about it. 🙂

Oh, when summer is over plant some mums in the dirt. They will be so proud.
