School started for Lloyd on Monday, and after several work days, it starts for me on Wednesday. I did some deep sorting that I’m rather proud of, but it’s not quite ready to show. Anyway, I’m going to bed early. See you on the flip side.

“I play the car.”
The only answer to “What instrument do you play?” This whole thing makes me happy for multiple reasons. 🙂
Magic Cheese
So, I have probably built this story up too much.
Remember the Potato Bake? It was back in early April. According to my calculations, that was four months ago. Lloyd and I have been working through this bag of shredded cheese that whole time, and it has not molded yet. What is up with that?
See? Not a great story, but at least I can upload photos now!
“Failed to write to disk”
Hmmmmm…. something is wrong with the website and photos won’t upload. I’d have my tech guy fix it but he’s at an Open House at his school. You’ll just have to wait to hear the Magic Cheese story.
(It’s not that great, so don’t fret about it all day.)
I never left the car.
I loved seeing my parents. It was a short trip, but quite wonderful. At the Grand Junction station, there was a tour group from Kansas that was going to ride over to Denver and meet up with their bus. They seemed happy and I think they may have bought out the last car entirely. There had to be at least fifty in their group.
Once on board, I set up camp in my room and only left to pee. I read, ate, napped and watched the scenery. It was very peaceful.
I also took pictures and videos of things I like, but videos are too hard for the lazy to edit, so here’s a guy washing his tiny camper in Granby, Colorado. He is my new best friend.
I think this ride was the bumpiest I’ve ever experienced. It was quite jerky in the night, but I was pretty tired and didn’t mind. We came in three hours late (that was to be expected) and after crawling through the back window of my truck to unlock it (different story), I went to work for the last day of the summer program.
A pretty great day.
Monday was wonderful. We got up, and visited, then I ‘helped’ with a tiny bit of yard work. Later in the morning, Mom and I ran a few errands. Home for lunch and a nap, then a wonderful dinner of pot roast, baked potato and Olathe Sweet sweet corn!
After dinner we took a drive up Grand Mesa. I just love the mountain. With so much rain, everything looks straight out of a storybook. The lakes are full, the trees are green and the sky was incredibly blue. We stopped at a lake to admire its beauty.
I am pretty sure parts of heaven look like this.
