Not how I expected to start my day.

April 2, 2020

As I was driving to work, there was a car pulled over by a runaway dog. I pulled over and asked the guy if it was his dog, then he asked if it was mine. The dog was friendly, shaggy, smelly and had a collar – but no tag. The guy snapped some photos to put on our community chat page. I said I’d get the dog to work. He left.

Er, that was stupid. This friendly dog, who I had by the collar, wouldn’t budge. I thought I might have rope in the truck, but again – no budging. I called a Lloyd and asked if he would bring some rope, but he took some time arriving. I fashioned a leash out of my shoelaces….. right as he arrived with a sturdy leather purse strap. I took my double-leashed dog and headed to work.

Thankfully, the owner was contacted and they were reunited. Whew. Then the day began.
