So, Lloyd and I went on a walk this afternoon and when I got home I collapsed in a chair. (I’m very unhealthy.) From the room above me (Brad’s room), there was a crash.
Upon investigation, the cats had climbed on a shelf and knocked over some books. Silly cats.
I went to feed them their wet food, and Wally didn’t rush to eat it. I actually had to call him. He came running downstairs, gobbled, then ran back up. Hmmmmm.
Back in my chair, there was another ruckus upstairs. I decided to set up the webcam to see what those knuckleheads were up to.
I walked in the room and saw…… (re-enactment)
See that wing behind the ‘curtain’? (It’s a blanket.)
Yes. A bat.
Remember ALL THAT MONEY we spent last year to exclude the bats??? How did this happen??
Lloyd took it outside and I spent the rest of the evening trying to figure out how this happened. The bat guy had a year-long warranty, so we’ll get this sorted out.
…..or we’ll burn the house down.
Brad says
Ugh. I’m so sorry to hear about that. I will be praying for you big-time.
Lauren says
Thank you. If it weren’t for the accompanying bugs, I wouldn’t be as worried, but the potential for bugs? This is perpetual Groundhog Day.
Brad says
We just prayed for you at the end of our school day. It was Jonathan’s turn to be the pray-er. He said a very nice prayer on your behalf.
Lauren says
Aw, thank you! Please tell Jonathan that it is much appreciated! 😀
