I’ve finished my third puzzle. I swapped puzzles with a friend, and have also had some others loan me their puzzles. I think they know something about my destiny that I don’t. In a couple of years, a bomb is going to need to be diffused and it will only be possible by putting hundred of small items in perfect order…… while watching Seinfeld. America, I am the hero that you need.
The puzzle I finished was one of two puzzles bagged and boxed together, and some pieces were missing, plus I had a piece that didn’t fit.
I looked through the original bag and found two of the missing pieces! Woo-hoo! However, one was still missing, so I went through the other puzzle, examining each four-pronged piece to see if it had two dark yellows/black, a red and a black.
No dice.
So I’ll just have to tell my friend that the cats ate the piece. Also, that odd piece? I finally flipped it and saw that the back was blue…… it belonged to the puzzle I loaned out. Oy, I gotta make a delivery……

No dice — Ha!

I have a puzzle at my house that I got at Goodwill. I’m afraid to put it together because I’m worried that a piece might be missing.

I vote for beginning the puzzle with the understanding that four pieces will be missing. At least four. 😉
