Sorry, kids.

March 29, 2021

When we reopened last summer after our COVID hiatus, one of my jobs was to disable the drinking fountains in the classrooms. Most classes use water bottles and it’s been working out fine.

in the three-year-old room, though, they figured out how to jam their finger in the mechanism and make the water work. As you can imagine, they were not polite with this discovery.

This is a faucet in a different room, since I forgot to take a ‘before’ photo.

I Laurened it right up with a chair leg cover and a zip tie.

Good luck with that, three-year-olds. Thwarted!!

I’ve seen water fountains shrink-wrapped and duct-taped. This seems like a better solution…
