Saturday morning I got up, made a little fire, then showered for the day. That was foolish, as you’ll see later, but I felt really greasy and figured I would be in a better frame of mind if I washed up.
Then I went to work. There is an early childhood conference on Sunday afternoon and Monday, and the our school is the site for a Sunday sectional – outdoor classroom stuff. (A couple of months ago I thought WE were supposed to put on the sectional, but then I heard someone else was presenting. Whew.) Anyway, a few things had been done to get ready, but there were some other things to do. I thought that working in the early morning hours would help me beat the heat, but I was wrong. Soooooo…. wrong. After three hours, I came home and took a second shower.
Bleh. So sweaty.
Anyway, here’s the kicker. At the time of this sectional today, the temperature is supposed to be in the 90’s. I am making a prediction that either a) they will move everything inside, or b) nobody is going to attend this sectional.
I’ll let you know how it goes.

I haven’t done a two-shower day in a long time. In fact, I’m starting to skip days. But manual labor in the hot sun would probably make me shower too.

I heard one person at registration asking for directions to the CDC. So you had at least one person, right?
