It was a pretty tame weekend. We went to Lincoln on Saturday to give a ride to a college student who needed to get her car from a repair place. It was … how do I say this well? She is a friend (Megan) of a friend’s (Kathryn) daughter (Isabelle). When I first got her text, I didn’t connect the dots and thought I was just helping out some random person, but when I saw who she was I realized she has stayed at our house before. I entered her contact name as ‘Megan Peperkorn’ so I will remember. Ha – what are the chances of that?
After we dropped her off, we went to Kohl’s and I told Lloyd to not let me give up – we were not leaving until I had some shirts and pants. I hate clothes shopping soooooooo much. Luckily they had a display of folded t-shirts and we grabbed a bunch, and after searching, I found a pair of pants. The best part was that I only had to try on the pants, and they fit. Yay! No more ‘trying things on’ nonsense. This batch of clothes should last the next few years, then I’ll have to do that all over again.
Not much else happened Saturday. Sunday was church, a birthday brunch for Harold, which was lovely, a nap, my family Zoom, and some laundry.
All in all, pretty peaceful and nice. I hope yours was, as well!

For me, shopping for clothes can be fun because of the bargain-hunting aspect. I like to find shorts for $6 on the clearance rack. I clothes-shop more often now. I’m wearing out my clothes more than twice as fast, because it’s always summer here, and because I wear the same thing to school as I do on the weekend.

Yea, glad you found something.
