As I write this (Wednesday, 5:46 am.), Lloyd, Aaron, Christina and Sam are about three hours away, sleeping in a cute little cabin, resting up for their float trip later today. Brad is sleeping, then he’ll get up, pack and head to the airport with Beth to fly to California to start his new adventure. I am going back to work.
We’ve had some great visits, and I always am happy to see people I love. The downside is that our house has decided to take a nosedive in functionality while all this is happening. You are familiar with the plumbing woes (still unsolved) and the broken oven (not convenient while having company, even though I am not a great cook), but now our air conditioner is quasi-broken. The cooling system has deteriorating insulation and the pipe freezes up. We have a guy coming on Thursday – after everyone is gone. We are hobbling by with a new window unit and keeping the house thermostat set pretty high, but *sigh* it’s just an inconvenient time.
Alright, everyone – have a great Wednesday, and appreciate your air conditioning!
Mom says
Dad says hail may have something to do with your air conditioner.
Brad says
That window unit was a good patch though. I was cool and comfortable my last night there. Thank you!
And I hope your air conditioner fix is a simple one.
