I like the new Prius. It has all kinds of bells and whistles – as Lloyd says, “It’s amazing the jump in features 11 years will bring. (2011 to 2022)” It can connect to our phones and play music, show maps, take phone calls, read and respond to texts, but it makes a terrible cup of coffee.
Many of these features are displayed on the screen by the coffee maker. (I’ll end that joke now.) It’s totally fine unless the winter sun is behind you as you are driving, and the BLINDING LIGHT is impossible to completely block, no matter how many napkins you shove in the vents.
Is there some solution for this that doesn’t involve napkins?
Oh, in case you’re wondering why we’re driving so slowly, it has to do with the in-transit paper in the windshield. That’s tomorrow’s story.

After a while it will get lots of dust and fingerprints on it. They will dull the glare.
Karla says
What about an anti glare screen protector? Or fingerprints and dust like Deborah said. If the fingerprints are sticky it’ll cut the glare quicker!
Brad says
I too have a giant screen on my dashboard, but mine is not angled up like yours, so I don’t have that issue. Oh, how I long for my old truck of knobs and buttons. I could adjust the air or radio without even taking my eyes off the road.
Mark says
I agree with Karla. Anti-glare screen may be worth a test.
