Cyber Classroom 3000

Lloyd, School

This isn’t really high-tech or anything; real high-tech classrooms have all this stuff built in. I, on the other hand, had to cobble stuff together from various and sundry parts of school to create the Cyber Classroom 3000 (hence forth the CC3k). With the CC3k I don’t have to stand up and walk back and forth across the front of the classroom, pretending to put useful information on the board for seventh graders. I can do it all from the comfort of a soft cushiony chair.

What would you do with your own CC3k

As an added bonus, the data visualizer ($3000 retail, $250 on ebay) has a 20x zoom on it, so I can have student stand in the front of the room and run them through with a pencil that is magically the size of a lance.

    You should do ant races and have your kids bet on the winners. It could be a good statistics lesson. Plus, you could be the “House”, and take a cut from all the transactions. It’s all harmless fun. Yes sir, harmless fun.

      Unfortunately, I am now a week behind, and we won’t get to statistics. I don’t know how I’m going to pay these hospital bills if I can’t “teach” statistics.

      When I first read your comment, Brad, I thought you meant ‘House’ as in ‘Dr.’. I couldn’t remember when he started taking cuts from ant races on the show.

      I gotcha now.

    {Insert clever comment about Lloyd using a bunch of toys in his classroom because of his “heart condition” here.}

    Oh yea, well ….

    32(x2 + ab9 -- 12b) x (3n -- 8b x 36y) -- 9(4x + 2b -- 4xy)+ 5(nb -- ab x 3x +2y) -- 3(x2) =

        Really?? I got something totally different! Don’t listen to him Peggy!

        I’m sorry you won’t get to statistics Lloyd. That’s one of my favorites. Of course, I have too many favorites -- that’s what makes me a math geek!
