Prototypin’

June 25, 2007 by Lauren 5 Comments

I think it looks like a little guy... with a spoon head.

Brad is a cereal eater, and since he’s a guy, his custom is to rinse off his cereal bowl and spoon and set them by the sink to use again the next day.  Since I’m a girl, I kept putting his bowl in the dishwasher every other summer.  Oops!  So this year, we’ve got the perfect solution!  Lloyd helped with it’s construction – he’s got mad Dremel skills – and made the spoon notch just right!

You should send this idea in to IKEA. It looks like just their kind of thing. Save the environment! Use a bowl and spoon rack!

I’m heading to IKEA today after school to buy a new desk for my classroom. I’ll look for a suggestion box!

I am willing to give them any and all rights to the patent as long as they open a new store in our abandoned Wal-Mart building.

UPDATE: No suggestion box, but as I strolled through IKEA yesterday, I did notice a small wooden table easel for 99 cents. I’m thinking it could definitely balance a bowl and spoon. It looks like it was put together by four small sticks and some string. So Lloyd, if you’re looking for a summer job …

I think you should sell the idea to Pampered Chef. I don’t think you are supposed to wash any of their bakeware, they call it “seasoning”. MMMM…seasoned cereal!
