Thanks, Ms. Mayor

March 4, 2008 by Lauren 6 Comments

A while back I said something about how my kids were collecting postcards from all over the country, and we didn’t have one from Maryland. Well, sneaky Peggy mailed one to us, and signed it ‘The Mayor’. I had to admit, I was a little confused (for a second) about who might have sent it, but then I realized that Brad is way too much like me and might have thought about it, but not done it.

Peggy, you’re awesome. I wish you were the Mayor.

From the top!

Ha! You know me very well.

But I not only thought about it, I also thought about where I might get a hold of a post card. Across the street, I thought. The gas station across the street must have post cards. Then something sparkly distracted me, and I didn’t remember any more.

I thought about it at work at my desk, thinking that perhaps you needed one from DC, too, and maybe CVS would have one. How long will you have those babies hanging up there?

I thought about sending you one. But I couldn’t get one from Maryland, and I wouldn’t have signed it “The Mayor.” Good job, Peggy! 🙂

There’s a good joke here somewhere about a woman mayor and our new possible woman president, but I dont’ want to offend anyone.
