I caved yesterday and turned the heat on. It was 63 degrees in here, and while I’m crazy and cheap, I’m not that crazy. So the heat is on (at 68), downstairs vents are open, upstairs vents are closed, but I can’t find the stairway curtain. (Hey, you can see the old kitchen in that post!) I had to substitute a silly old flower one for my ultra-classy white one. 🙂 Where could it be?
By the way, current heat check, 67.7 from here on my stool, 62.3 behind the curtain. I knew you’d want to know.
Good choice for a substitute since apparently you can shower on the stairs now too?
Heh. Clever.
HAHA!! (& more money saved, no water for showers)
Hey, don’t fix the leak….if it gets cold enough behind the curtain, it’ll be snowing inside! Awesome!
If you could just get the upstairs down to 50 degrees or so, you could save even more money by unplugging your refrigerator and putting all its contents on your steps.
HA!
I turned our heat on when it hit 60 degrees. I thought that was extreme, and Tim’s nose made him look like Rudolph. Poor kid.
At least now I keep it at 67. Mean ol’ Mommy.
Alright, I’ve been keeping our heat at 62 degrees, thinking I could save lots and lots of money that way. At the same time, it really is not fun, trying to keep warm while bedecked in 3 layers of thickness and still feeling cold. SO I’ll turn the heat up… probably to 64 degrees.
I just turn on (yes, I said, “Turn on.”) our fireplace, and then we’re all toasty.
