Choir & Kitchens

November 22, 2008 by Lauren 11 Comments

Shake it, don’t break it.

There he goes.  Off to sing his little heart out with Brad & Beth’s mom and Stephannie’s brother.  (Yes, his tuxedo is all in the suit bag.) The Lincoln Lutheran Choir had their first concert of the weekend in Council Bluffs, Iowa tonight, and it was wonderful!  They sang Thanksgiving-type songs, and sang all of them well.  They’ll sing again tomorrow in Lincoln, and I’ll tell you which  night was better.

The church they were in was a building straight out of one of my dreams.  It had tiny little rooms, winding maze-like hallways that led to even more tiny rooms, amazing architecture, and several kitchens.  My heart started beating faster when we came across this one off a hallway:

Be still my heart.

It’s one of those all-in-one deals, with cabinets, a light, a stove, sink and that door on the far right is an under-counter fridge!!  I’ve looked at these before in used furniture stores, and someday I’ll have one in my tiny little dream house.  *sigh* I’ve never been happier.

The wall of the church looks like a castle. Besides being twisty and full of kitchens, was it castley too?

We want one of those kitchens in our basement…so it’s a complete apartment. IKEA makes one. Maybe Brad will drive next summer and bring it for us.

You know Grandma Bea has a kitchen like that. You should have Lloyd take you there sometime. P.S. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO on the IKEA idea. Buy American!

Finally, I have been waiting forever to make a comment on iLloyd’s buns. However, all I got that doesn’t make filters block it is -- “Nice Buns Lloyd”. One more thing that makes me disappointed in AlGore’s Internet.

Al Gore’s just filtering your comments because he’s jealous of Lloyd’s buns.

No. That’s not real. They cause the current financial crisis AND Cardinal’s pitcher to be injured (I don’t know how).
