I took the shelf to the Center last week, and Melanie and I installed it in her room. She’s begun to put many of her cool things on it, and I’ll post a picture when it’s completely done, but I was in her room with the non-nappers today and snapped a photo.
Please ignore the bits of duct tape peeking out from the bottom. It’s my white trash way of hiding cords, and I stapled the duct tape up right afterward. Yep, I’m nothing if not thorough.
So, in typing this, I realized that ‘afterwards’ is being corrected by my spell check. What’s up with that? Is it really not a words?

I had a question about “same-ol’, same-ol'” yesterday. I’ve heard it said many times, but not ever seen it written.

I would think as long as you put the cliche in quotes, you can write it however you want.
Beth says
Cool shelf. Even cooler in person.
And since we’re talking about words here…afterward does not normally have an ‘s’. Toward doesn’t normally have an ‘s’ at the end either (though both are listed in Webster’s Dictionary as having an ‘s’ as a possibility).
Interesting, yes?

Karla says
Is Annette okay? Did she collapse in mid-typing? Oh dear…did the shelf fall on her head?
Lauren's dad says
I’d turn the spell-checker off!
