I believe it’s a cold.

October 10, 2009 by Lauren 12 Comments

A couple of nights ago I woke up with some pretty bad acid pain in my throat, and I was mad. I’m doing everything right, for cryin’ out loud! No eating or drinking for three hours before bedtime, no alcohol, sleeping at an angle, and taking medicine (er, when I remember). It happened again the next night, too. I was hopping mad. If it’s going to go back to this, then I’m going to go back to eating popcorn and drinking a beer before bed.

Well, it turns out that I’ve also got a cold, so that might be part of it. A runny nose and cough are not helping the whole situation. So, its jammies on all day, working on the pot of soup on the stove, and lots and lots and lots and lots of sleeping. Sounds like a perfect weekend.

No photo – I’m not too sick for that, you just don’t need to see a picture of me now.

Feel better Lauren! I had a day this past week where I felt bad & didn’t get dressed all day & slept & watched TV guilt free. I hope your weather is cloudy. Cloudy, pajamas, soup, the couch…a great combo.

Yummy. And I love the old, enamel pot. Thanks for the photo.

It’s cold there in Nebraska, right? It’s hot in Baltimore. Hot and humid.

I did sleep in the sweats (a $5 Target score from our unexpected hotel stay), but put the socks and sweatshirt-thing on for padding about the house. It made it cozy between naps.

Oh ugh. I’m just now getting over the nastiest cold and it did start with a sore, sore throat. Hope yours flees quickly. Take a couple days off if you can.

Anna was sitting on my lap as I was catching up on my internet reading this evening. She saw your first picture and got very excited – “Soup! Mama, soup!!” Okay, it sounded more like “Doop! Mama, doop!”, but I knew what she was talking about.

Thanks for posting the pictures. And yes, the doop looks very tasty! I hope it helps. 🙂
