So, I made Lloyd come to Omaha. We didn’t leave Seward until 3 in the afternoon, and all we have done is spend an eternity looking at tv’s at Nebraska Furniture Mart. I told him I didn’t care what we got – this is entirely his decision. I didn’t realize it was going to be such a big, big, big decision involving so much math. (Don’t ask.)
NFM has a Burger King in it, so I treated Lloyd to a birthday Whopper. He was most kind and got our ketchup in the most eco-friendly way possible – on the back of a receipt. Awwww…
Our hotel is nice – a DoubleTree, but not the one that has the big continental breakfast, and it only has wireless here in the lobby. (Boooo.) There are many, many people here who are rich enough that they didn’t have to Priceline their rooms, so we feel a bit on the shabby-looking side, but it’s awfully fun making them uncomfortable. Happy Birthday to us!

Sounds like a fun day. Except for the big purchase. I get so stresses making those 🙂 I do rather like making people uncomfortable sometimes..
Also, Happy Birthday!!

Brad says
Well? Did you get a TV? I don’t know how you’re surviving. Does your old TV work still? Oh, that’s right, you’re in a hotel! They surely have working televisions.
Beth says
On Brad’s behalf, please buy a TV before he arrives on Tuesday. Please.
Peggy says
I LOVE that picture of the lighted trees! How beautiful!
And I think I would have fun shopping for a new TV…but it would be hard for me to resist one with all the newest stuff. And if it was my birthday weekend, there’d be no hope…I leave with the best! (Is there a self-help group for TV fanatics such as I?)
Christina says
Happy 40th Big Brother!! I hope you have enjoyed them all!
Kristi says
So did you buy a TV or a stove?
Lloyd's Mom says
I hope you bought both. One for Lloyd and one for Lauren! You are only 40 once you know. Happy birthday!
