I admit that I have a little of my mother in me. Actually, it’s hard not to admit it with Lauren always reminding me. She says that it’s not a bargain if you don’t need it. But I maintain that if it’s over 66% off, you can find some sort of use for it.
These were 66.7% off, so I had to buy them.
There’s another part that’s not pictures. It plugs into an outlet and you plug whatever you want into the outlet. Then the switch turns it on and off from (and here I’m just guessing) up to 5 miles away. I’m going to hook one up to a flaky piece of equipment at school that needs to be reset about twice a week. When it gets flaky you just need to send it to time-out for a bit, but if you don’t have that much time, you can also turn the power off and turn it back on. The problem is that it’s not exactly in an easily accessible location.
But I can put the switch anywhere…
Brad says
That would be fun to connect the second one to something totally random. I’ve encountered several mystery wall switches in my life. There’s one in my house. I have no idea what it does.
Lauren says
Yeah. Put a switch in the boys bathroom but connect it to something in the office -- like a radio. That wouldn’t cause one bit of trouble.
Brad says
Hehe… That makes me think of this commercial:

I laugh every time I watch it.
Jill says
I love that commercial too. Very real portrayal of marriage. “Yes, honey, whatever you say, honey, of course I’m paying attention to you, honey.”
Lloyd, if you don’t do something ornery with that second switch, I’m going to be disappointed. 🙂
Curt says
Yes, that commercial is hilarious!
Peggy says
I LOVE those! For all the wrong reasons I’m sure. My mind is clicking away with all the fun I could have with them. I think I would even pay full price for them. Must find them.
(I love that commercial too Brad & Jill….super funny!!)
Curt says
Lloyd, where did you find these? I wouldn’t mind getting one or two.
Peggy says
Yea, fess up daddy o….where’d you get them?
Lloyd says
I got them from the clearance section at ThinkGeek.com, but they don’t have them anymore. They do, however, have lots of interesting things.
