My director was gathering information about our staff, and I guess it would be for future Appreciation Presents. Favorite color/favorite beverage/favorite snack/favorite candy/etc. When she got to the question, “Hobbies?” I answered, “making fire”. She looked at me for a little while and said…… “You mean ….camping?” “Sure. I meant camping.”
For camping, I am a big fan of the Bonfire Log. I know I’ve talked about them before – a chunk of a log that has a star-shaped hole bored through it. You light the top and it burns for over an hour. I like it for camping because it’s an all-in-one. You don’t have to bring along lots of logs (unless you need the fire to go longer). I used to buy a bunch at Menards, then they ran out. I found out our local hardward store could order them and I ordered an bunch, but I am running low and they can’t get them. Dang. I needed to ration them.
However…… last weekend when I had the Prius, I stopped at Lowe’s to look at some things, and……
Jackpot!! My heart rate went up A LOT and I sent a photo to Lloyd, along with “good thing you kept the trunk liner in the new car!”
I bought as many as would fit in the cart.
Sorry, little Prius. This is how I will treat you. Welcome to the family.

That’s fantastic!

You’re not burning them in the Prius, are you? At $16.00 a pop, that would cause major damage.

You’re good to that little Prius. I would have stacked them two deep and scraped the undercarriage all the way to Seward. Might have only had about 19mi/gallon, but….
