I didn’t post from Colorado because I am, above all things, lazy. I’ve got some fodder for the week, though, so that’s good.
We took my Dad back up to his house on several of the days. On Saturday, we picked him up and swung by Arby’s for some sandwiches. He suggested that we drive out to Confluence Lake – a man-made lake that’s part of the Delta Recreational Park. (He and Mom used to get McDonald’s, then eat them in the car while they watched the birds.) That seemed to be a splendid idea.
The lake had begun to ice up, and there were so many geese out there. We thought is was amazing, and then some more arrived. We finished our sandwiches and drover around the lake to leave….. and MORE arrived. So many more! You’ll see it in the video, but we saw the first bunch, then off in the distance there was an even larger flock.
After videoing this, there were TWO MORE big groups that cam along! It was crazy! I would imagine that the sound of so many geese honking would carry pretty far in the sky, inviting even more to come join the party.
Hilarious!
So glad you got to do this with your dad.
