I have to pause my Colorado stories to tell you about my first day back at work and its Coffee Disaster. Information to have: I put sugar and milk in my coffee.
We have milk delivered on Mondays, but since there was a break, the delivery was late and there were very few cartons. Our cook said I was welcome to use a splash of the gallons in the fridge, but please use the open one. I made my coffee, added sugar and poured out……chunks from the gallon. It had spoiled. Bleh.
Take two: I made a new cup of hot water, but I was out of sugar. I usually bring sugar from home, but I refilled my sugar shaker with some from the sugar container on the right.
Mixed up my brew, took a drink…….. stopped……. and made it to the sink to spit it out.
The container on the right? That’s the salt container.
Good grief. Take three: I made another cup, poured the ‘fresh’ milk, and….. it was also a bit off.
I didn’t drink it. Later in the day I made a cup with delightfully fresh milk that was finally delivered.
End of story.
