Lloyd and I took the camera into Circuit City (where service is state of the art) tonight to return it. I was full of righteous indignation, and was prepared to give them the what-for about this stupid camera that died within a month. (Who are we kidding? I brought Lloyd along because I’m a total coward. He’s the heavy.) We explained our situation, stood there stonily, then were completely thrown off track by the guy turning the camera on – and it worked just fine. Confound it all!!! Now we were faced with the decision to return this one, or get the extended warranty on this one in case it should die again. After much hemming and hawing, we bought the warranty.
So here are some of the photos from yesterday’s long day at school! Here’s Lloyd putting cables into some roofing vent stuff to keep the room looking non-cabley.
Here’s me in right-side-up, non-back-hurting mode.
And while this in not our handiwork, this is a picture my Dad sent of his computer. It must be where I get my skills. I especially like the sledgehammer. Go, Dad!
(It died a while ago. He needed to mess with it so it would stay on long enough to get some data off of it.)
Drills, roof-vent stuff, hammers, and crowbars are all my first choice of materials and tools for working with computers. Then I call Lloyd.
I skip all the materials and just call Lloyd. And while he audibly rolls his eyes at me over the phone (at my ignorance, no doubt), deep down I think he likes that I always think of him first. (At least that’s what I’ll go ahead and continue to imagine.) Thanks, Lloyd.
Oh, and where’s the picture of the finished product? All the behind the scenes (or under the scenes, as the case is) and none of the beauty? Just like Brad’s kitchen, all the dust, paint and plaster, and no pretty cabinet pictures…*sigh*…you people.
What?! No pictures of Lauren stuck under a table? I’m really disappointed.
I’m pretty sure that broke back Lauren happened before broke front camera, but I also suspect that if I had started taking pictures at that moment, the camera accident would have come about much sooner.
Karla, what are you using for a camera these days? It seems to me that I still have one of your pictures around here.
I got nothin’, ‘cept thanks to you folks, I reflect on my whole life in “posts!” ARGGHHH
Yeah, life is all posts and comments now. It’s an illness!
I’d join your dad Lauren if I had to make mine run. Aaron has been keeping me going this week. He rolls his eyes a lot.
