Rainy day.

July 29, 2007 by Lauren 4 Comments

It’s actually raining here – a good, steady rain.  We’ve been dry for weeks now, so it’s nice to not get teased by the little sprinkles of the past few days.

Lloyd’s parents are visiting, and in the dash to straighten up the house, the camera dock has been moved and I can’t find it.  I’ve got some funny pictures from yesterday to post, but you may have to wait a bit.

What did you do with your Saturday?  What’s the weather like where you are?

Rainy & thundering (Woo Hoo) here today also. I have a huge pot of homemade spaghetti sauce with homemade meatballs cooking, & homemade cream puffs ready to be filled. I have a movie to watch, a book to read, and a nap planned. GREAT Sunday!!

Yesterday was also good. Ridiculously HOT though. After me & 4 friends cooked & delivered a meal to a homeless shelter, we went to a friends house whose on vacation to feed their pets. Then we went swimming in their pool, had food delivered, & had a drink(s). We also invading their garden to make a salad. Great fun!

I’m glad it’s raining there. I was about to tell you to water the two newest additions to the cutting garden, just to make sure they survived.

Maybe Lloyd’s mom will do a little something while she’s there?

Ummm… we’ll see about the watering. She has all kinds of questions about what you planted, though, and I don’t have any good answers. Can you send us a diagram of the plants in the cutting garden?

We went to a birthday party in Chicago and got free parking at a meter (it was broken)!! Parking in the city is a big thing, and when it’s free, it’s even better. 🙂 Then we came home and I developed my third case of pink eye in 2 weeks. I think I might need stronger drops.
