Back at the Wal*marts

November 19, 2009 by Lloyd 7 Comments

Remember a little while ago when we toured Feral Cat City? Remember a week ago when Kristi visited? Well, it turns out that Kristi hadn’t seen the new Wal*marts or that the old Wal*marts was slowly turning into a church. We went out to do a little investigative reporting…

I think this is taken from the Jewery Department.

They've got to be thinking all glass, right?

Picture without a good caption.

Every church needs a stockade.

Boy, that third picture sure could use a caption.

Wow! I gotta say I don’t think I have ever seen anything like this. So much space, and my goodness, what an enormous roof! What happened?

I think they should just leave it like that and make it a drive-in church.

There was (maybe still is) a drive-in LCMS church at the Lake of the Ozarks when we were growing up. I remember going there once.

I have it on good authority that the hold up with the remodel job (of turning the Wal*Marts into a church) is because of building permits of one kind or another…

Thus the gaping empty building with drive-through capacity that’s been standing there for, um, what? 7 months? 9?

Maybe stockades are a cure for your hair woes. I don’t see the bend at all!
