It’s Friday night, Lauren is tired, so I get to finally post something. Weeks and weeks ago, three weeks before the end of the school year in fact, I gave my Website Design Class their final assignment. They were going to design the website for the Nebraska School Nutrition Association.
Our School Nutrition person was the vice-president of the Nebraska School Nutrition Association, and they had wanted a website for years and years. We broke the class up into a few different working groups and went to work. I think it turned out pretty nice:
As an added bonus, my principal came to observe the class when the students were meeting with their client to iron out some of the details of the website. It’s always good to have your principal watch when you’re not the focus of attention.
As an added added bonus, I have a lot of good pictures of food to look at when I’m hungry…

Those photos look amazing! I almost took a bite out of my computer screen.
The nutrition people need to update the content, I see. The part under ‘training’ still seems to be in kid-speak: “We work together to provide training stuff and make sure that you are up to date on the latest training things link training.”
Brad says
I like that kind of language. It’s so clear. I think there should be training things when people go to stuff so they can learn to say what they mean. (It might sound like it, but I’m not being sarcastic.) Perhaps the class could be called: “Say What You Mean”. Maybe somebody should write a book…

Can I order school lunch again?
Lloyd says
We really have a nice school lunch program. In addition to whatever the hot lunch item is, there are a couple of kinds of soup, a salad bar and sandwiches.
Lauren says
My school lunch on Thursday had a stromboli (hot baked sandwich thing) and two dinner rolls.
Too much bread.
Peggy says
Too much bread??? Never, I say!
I liek the pictures too. Is that chocolate ice-cream in the one picture & pop tarts in the other? I love those things. Is that stuff healthy now?
(btw: Remember when you posted about Lloyd liking frozen fruit cups. Well, I cleaned out my freezer this past week & I found a frozen pear cup in there. I obviously put it in there when you posted & then forgot all about it. It was YUMMY!!!!! A great cool & refreshing, healthy summer snack! Did I really just say that? Anyway, thanks for the tip Lloyd!)
