I sometimes take a short bath before bed to calm down and warm up. The past few weeks, the water hasn’t been very warm. Also, I am the first one that showers, and about twice a week the water isn’t very warm.
It’s not a super old heater. I tried turning the temperature up. I have never drained the heater. Do I have to drain it? That sounds scary.

It’s funny you’re posting about this. I’ve been saving money in a box for a while now, and I have intended to get a new water heater with it. On President’s Day, I was going to go to the store and order it, but that didn’t end up happening. I want to pay for installation so they’ll take my old one away, but I wasn’t sure when to schedule it, so I just put the whole process off (for the ump-teenth time).
I hope the solution to your situation is easier than what I perceive the process of buying a new water heater to be.

Lloyd Sr said hard to shut them off. They sometimes leak for a while. Depends on how hard your water is. If water is less than 6 grains hard, he would not drain it.
