At snack, I had a boy tell me, “Today is the same day.”
“As what?” I asked.
“Today is the same day.”
“…. Usually you say that something is the same as something else, like ‘your shirt is the same as my shirt’.”
He furrowed his brow and started muttering months, then days of the week. “What do you call this?” he finally asked.
“Today is Thursday, and it’s the third day of February.”
“Today is the same day.”
“…..as……?”
Eventually we got around to how after nap time, we were not on a different day – today was still the same day as it was before we fell asleep.
You’re welcome.
