My dad reminded me to get the photos!
So, our local farm store had some ‘one log fire’ things on their clearance shelf. They had the large size (marked down to five dollars) or the mini size, marked down to two bucks. Being someone who literally likes to burn money, I bought a little one.
These aren’t like the one-log fires that I like, but those are hard to find now. What are they called…….? Bonfire something? These – click here.
Those are awesome. What I bought is less so. It’s just a piece of…… birch(?) with a hole drilled down from the top that joins a hole in the side. (Think a hollow ‘L’ inside.) You light the little fire starter inside and sit back to enjoy the show.
That little table-thing is the amazing portable fire pit that Beth bought for my birthday. I like how this photo shows the many place I like to burn stuff, along with the assorted crap on my patio. (That’s the neighbor’s shed in the background, not mine.)
It’s a very candle-like burn through nearly all of it. Not terrible, but it surprised me that it didn’t burn outward more.
The little one lasted over an hour.
Eventually it broke through to the surface. I’m not sure how long it would burn completely down, since I was pretty done after an hour. I still had t.v. to watch, y’know.

I want to know more about your portable fire pit. It looks fun!

Sorry to hear you weren’t impressed with OneLogFire, next time grab a mini if you want a shorter burn. The bonfire log is too messy for me. I use the heck out of my OneLogFirePit.
