I’m writing this in the morning in a bit of a rush. I have a time-sensitive thing that needs to get in the mail, and it’s St. Patrick’s Day and I’m not completely ready for the day. Here’s hoping I get out of the house early.
The fire pit from yesterday’s post is amazing! It was a gift from Beth since she knows my love of fire. It comes in a little bag about the size of a large water bottle. The legs are in three pieces each, and the mesh top is pinned to the ends of the legs. Here’s a similar one on Amazon, but it has legs that are always long: Click here.
I have washed mine off after use before (it cools very quickly), but didn’t have time this week. So here is is, all ashy and on my gross basement floor:
The legs nest inside that square bracket – it’s pretty neat!
The mesh top is just made of metal. It does a surprisingly great job of not letting any ash fall through, and as you can imagine – the airflow from below is incredible. Mine needs to be rinsed off, but here’s a close-up:
I can imagine that at some point the mesh will melt through, but it seems like it would be fairly easy to replace.
Ok, I gotta go do that leprechaun thing. Have a great day, everyone!

I got the little portable fire pit from a Facebook click-bait. It was just so cool, I knew Lauren should have it…. I’ll look around and see if I can find the website…

THAT is a genius invention. Thanks for sharing the particulars of it.

I like it. So portable. You could make a fire anywhere. …anywhere
