I am really not good at getting presents for people. It’s not my love language, and I used to overthink everything so much it would stress me out. Now, I am happy to give you cash or something like that.
it’s not much better with the kids. Usually it’s some kind of photo momento – the child, me and my aide – stuck on some sort of ornament, and then a bunch of little things. This year they’re getting a bag with the ornament, a little notebook, a candy cane and some Hershey’s kisses. They were also going to get a pen, but I read the package wrong at the store and bought mechanical pencils. I don’t need to give them little stabby pieces of lead, so they’ll have to figure out how to write in the notebook on their own.
