Beverage Pond

August 11, 2013 by Lloyd 14 Comments

When Lauren says, “I don’t want to make a post.” I answer, “Me neither.” Then she tells me that I have to anyway. After that I look through my phone to see what I have pictures of. She says that that (whatever it is) is too old to post about. I post about it anyway, because: what can she do about it? Write her own post?

We were in Seward over the 4th of July (because the family reunion wasn’t). If you haven’t seen it before, I present: The Beverage Pond

Oh the places we'll go.

America’s Official 4th of July City

Seward Nebraska: population 6,500
Seward Nebraska: number of fireworks stands: 9

A few days ago the fireworks stands started opening. As of today, there are 9 of them scattered around the town, and I’m not sure we saw all of them. They tend to clump together, as you can see on this map. While I was doing a little yard work I found 4 bottle rocket sticks in the grass. Everyone’s getting ready for the 4th, so come on over (but we’ll be in Missouri).

So, that’s what’s going on. Click on the picture for a readable copy (it’s a pdf).
