It was a busy day! It started off with Tim’s baptism, which was lovely. (I’m sure Uncle Brad will post more about that on www.bradaptation.com , so I’ll leave it at that.) Welcome to God’s family, Tim!
The rest of the day was spent having lunch at Valentino’s, then getting some work done around the house. Deborah and the girls were coming for dinner, and I wasn’t sure what to make. When in doubt…..
Bacon mats.
I can’t take credit for these. I saw them at instructables.com and thought that they looked pretty dang good. Finally all those years of watching my mom weave pie crust tops have paid off. (I can’t make pie.)
The best part is that they make awesome BLT’s. Cut each mat into fourths, and it’s a solid slab of bacon that stays put on your bread!
Unfortunately, Macy had to stay at Grandma and Grandpa’s because she was sick. Bethany was a hoot, though. I’ll post her photo with Pfennig tomorrow.
