Whole Foods, you are expensive.

August 2, 2009 by Lloyd 8 Comments

When we were young we’d save money by going to a grocery store and buy some bread and butter and really thin sliced ham and call it lunch. Sometimes we’d go to a park and picnic, sometimes we’d eat in the car. We’ve tried this at Whole Foods in Omaha a few times, and this does not save any money.

The cheese is $22.50 per pound.

But it is yummy in my tummy.

That's hummis on garlic bread

The Orange Juice is a dollar more than at the Wal*Marts.

Use the bread slicers you have -- knives -- and you’ll have money for whole foods, right?

Ha! I was just at a Whole Foods yesterday. I had trouble finding the milled flax seed. I’m glad I didn’t ask. They had almost a whole aisle of it.

That cheese looks like huge chunks of callouses removed from a giant’s nasty feet!

Yeah, I think the $22.50 per pound was to get the giant a manicure.

Their Cheese is so good…. the first (and only) time I went to Whole Foods I guiltily took 3 samples of each, seeking out the largest pieces, of course..

Just make sure it’s really a sample.
