I’m writing this from Lloyd’s iPhone so this will be short. 8 words: don’t order a one star hotel on priceline. Full story and photos when we get home on Tuesday. While you’re waiting, why not share a handy household tip?

How about don’t order a one star hotel period. Sorry, Lauren & Lloyd. No fun at all.
Is your kitchen short of counter space? Use your wall space--shelves, grids, hangy things of all types can clear your counters.
Regular Zest soap (the bar soap variety) will get grease/oil/butter stains out of clothing. Keep a bar under your kitchen sink, or next to your utility sink by the washer. It’s handy.
Just rub it on. Enough to leave a layer of soap over the stain…then throw it in the washer. Or if it’s especially bad, rinse it out and put more Zest on, then wash it. Done. 😀
How long did it take you to type that?! lol… I am no good at texting. Maybe it’s just people over 30?
household tip: to get rid of hard water stains on your kitchen taps -- wrap a few old face clothes around your taps, pour over pure vinegar until soaking wet. Let sit for a few hours. Wipe down sink area with wet face clothes … Voila! Stainless steel has no more hard water stains.. and you didn’t have to use a muscle. 🙂

You took my helpful hint! 😉

Ohhhh… I was really trying to think of something free, but unfortunately, I always turn to stores. Too lazy, I guess.

This sounds great because I strongly dislike grease stains on my teaching clothes. Do you just rub it on? Does it need to sit awhile?

If you have rabbits eating your garden plants, you can easily get them out with a shovel.

You’d think I’d have at least one ….. ???
Annette says
Clean as you go.
Curt says
I don’t like this one at all, even though it is probably the best one.
Annette says
I am leisure-deprived!
Deanne says
Or don’t clean. Ever. (Like that better, Curt?)
Stephannie says
Hey -- that’s MY hint!!!
Rae says
If you raise your dryer a couple feet off the floor it saves your back from bending over all the time. (We ‘Sam’ built a simple box out of plywood.)
Curt says
“So you say you have a hard time cleaning your pots and pans?” Use an engine degreaser, it works wonders. If that doesn’t work, use steel wool.
Beth says
Engine degreaser?
Note to self: Do not eat things cooked on the stove at Curt’s house.

Hey!! What happened to my hint? Am I stuck in moderation?
Mine was -- don’t clean your glasses with tissues with lotion in them, like Puffs plus, unless you like streaky lenses.
