Well, it happens every once in a while. You get a few of guys together to go see a Bad MovieTM, and instead you see a really well done movie.
I mean, how could we go right with a movie called ZombieLand? Doesn’t that just scream bad movie? Well, it was all around well done. The acting, the dialog, the zombies, they were all top notch. There was even a really funny extended cameo in the middle of the flick.
If you only see one zombie movie this year, this is the one you want. Oh, and stay until the end of the credits too.

Will do!

That’s really surprising. I stayed far away from it. Now I’m curious.
But is it all about the gore? I’m not real big on gore. Unless it’s cartoony, like in 300 or Tom and Jerry.
Lloyd says
All of this Movie, TV and Video Game violence has probably jaded me, but I don’t think of Zombie Gore as normal gore. Once you’re infected by the zombie virus and start slowly chasing me for my brains, normal human rules don’t apply. It’s like ant-hill-violence. Sure it’s a little rough on the ants/zombies, but there are plenty more of them –and they want to eat your brains.
But as far as zombie movies go, this one is definitely on the low gore side.

I am actually a little miffed that I didn’t get to go along. I would have liked this movie…. I think.

It may surprise you that I saw this movie. I don’t go to the movies very often & zombies scare the bejeezes out of me!
Kidding. I live at the movies and I LOVE zombies. And I agree…the cameo was a big surprise & the funniest part! But dnag, I didn’t stay until the end of the credits…or if I did, I don’t remember.
(To Brad: Not about the gore)

I can’t wait until this one is released on DVD because I really want to see it. I’ve only heard good things about it. 🙂
And speaking of Zombie movies, anyone seen Shaun of the Dead? Fun times.
Peggy says
I own it.
