I lost track. We missed one because of the weather, so while this is the fifth time the group has met, it was only our fourth. I think. Why am I saying all this? You, the reader, do not care.
This is arguable the best picture of the night. The older gentleman, Jack (sitting down), could only stay for half of practice, then he picked up his harp to head out to another gig!
It was a very fun evening – there were about twenty of us there, and afterwards we went out to eat at some pizza & sub shop that served beer (Hooray beer!) and talked for a while. For non-social me, it was surprisingly pleasant!
By the way – Happy Birthday, Deborah! Hooray, Deborah!
You’re ukemaniacs!
You’re zany to the max.
So just sit back and relax,
You’ll uke ’till you collapse.
You’re ukemaniacs!
Sung, of course, to the tune of Animaniacs…clever, very clever.
I”m sure Lloyd would like to clarify that he is NOT a ukumaniac, but rather a begrudging participant in something he can almost, but not quite, get on board with. I, however, am going to get a ‘Ukemaniac’ t-shirt made!
I wonder how many unknown groups there are out there … I mean who knew a uke group existed …surely there must be a group somewhere for me where no musical talent is required … a baking group (bring your best raw batter)? a games club? a support group for plant killers? Hmmmm … maybe I’ll start my own group …
If you get a group of plant killers together, call me and I’ll zip out there to join.
